What changed in this revision: we renamed the service from Doci to Foruki. The operator and the terms of use have not changed.
External app connections and permissions
An external app you choose to connect can read your documents, shared documents and tasks within the scopes you approve. Shared documents may include other participants’ content; make sure you have the right to share it. Foruki sends the requested content to your connected app without AI processing. The app’s privacy information governs its subsequent processing, retention and international transfers. Disconnecting does not automatically delete copies the app has already received.
We store the connected app’s name and identifier, consented permissions, connection time and last use, plus the type, outcome and time of requests. Activity records are deleted after 90 days and contain no document content, search queries or sharing links. Revoking a permission immediately blocks token use for that scope. Disconnecting the app entirely deletes the connection record after 90 days. Closing your account deletes its connections, tokens and activity records. Space owners can disable external app connections for the space.
You consent to suggestions and document creation separately from reading. Suggestions, the app name, the person who submitted them, timestamps and review outcomes are stored with the document. An editor applies or rejects suggestions. New documents are created immediately and retain the app name. Suggestions and provenance are removed when the document is deleted. Revoking a permission blocks future requests; it does not delete existing suggestions or documents. Disabling external apps for a space blocks reading, suggestions and creation. For assignee suggestions, the connected app receives names of people assignable in the document and document-scoped references. We do not send account identifiers. Foruki does not forward these requests to another external AI.
Writing comments is yet another separate consent. Comments and text-change suggestions written by a connected app are posted in your name right away, and the unverified app name stays on them. An app with read permission can also read, within the same rights, the comments you can see, saved versions, poll and survey tallies, settlement calculations, tasks, and the names and sizes of attached files. File contents and share links are never sent. Copying a document creates a new document in your library only when the original’s owner allows copies.
Signing up and your account
Foruki’s member features are available to people of any age. You finish signing up by signing in with Google or Naver, choosing a nickname and confirming the required consents. You may not impersonate another person or the operator. You can change your nickname and profile photo in My settings, and you may not use another person’s photo, or an image that infringes someone’s rights, as your profile photo.
Documents and sharing
Only write content you have the right to use. You may not post content that infringes other people’s rights or personal information. A document’s owner decides who it is shared with and whether they can view, comment or edit, and participants use it within the permissions they were given. Inviting members and creating Can edit links require membership. When the owner allows it for a particular link, guests can change checks and statuses or edit the document. Guest editing is off by default on existing links. Do not make share links or recovery keys public.
The owner chooses for each link whether its title appears in link previews.
File attachments
Members can upload files and photos to documents they can edit. Each file can be up to 20 MB, the files uploaded to one document can total up to 100 MB, and executable files (such as installers) cannot be uploaded. Upload only files you have the right to share. You may not upload files that infringe other people’s rights or personal information or that contain malicious code, and the person who uploads a file is responsible for it. Foruki does not scan file contents or guarantee that files are safe, so check downloaded files before opening them. Files confirmed to infringe rights or violate these terms may be deleted. Each member has 10GB of storage. It holds the files you upload to documents and to your Drive, the files in documents you copy, and the files in documents you own whose uploader has deleted their account. Files in a document created in a team count toward that team’s storage (10GB). Uploading files, copying a document that has files, and Undo or History restore that brings removed files back can’t be done when they would take you over your storage. Files you already have stay as they are.
Drive
Members can keep files in My Drive without attaching them to a document, and organize them in folders. The per-file size limit, the files that can’t be uploaded and responsibility for uploaded files are the same as for file attachments. When you upload a new version of a file, the latest 10 versions of each file are kept, and previous versions count toward your storage. When you link a Drive file to a document, the document shows the file’s current version from Drive, and new versions and names reach every document the file is linked to right away. A document whose file limit (100MB) would be exceeded, a document whose content is locked, and a document the member who linked the file can no longer edit keep the previous version. If you remove a link or permanently delete the file from your Drive, the file attached to a document stays in that document, and when a document is copied, the files in the copy are not linked. Files you move to the trash in your Drive can be restored within 30 days; after that they are permanently deleted. When you move a folder to the trash, the files and folders in it go with it and are restored or permanently deleted together. When you delete your account, the files in your Drive, including those in the trash, are permanently deleted at once.
Using Foruki as a guest
You can create and edit documents without signing in, and share them with Can view or Can comment links and poll & survey links. In documents shared with you, you can leave comments and poll or survey responses, depending on the link's permissions. On new Can comment and Can edit links, guests can change checks and statuses when the owner allows it. Can view links do not allow checks. Guests can edit content only when the owner turns on “Edit without signing in” for that link. This setting is off by default. Checks on existing links remain unchanged until the owner turns them on. Can edit links already created in a guest-owned document keep working, and signed-in members can edit through them. If you lose your device records or recovery key, you may not be able to regain access. When you sign in or sign up on a device (a browser or the app), the documents made on that device without signing in, including those in the Trash, move to the library of the account that signed in. On a device several people use, they go to whoever signs in on it, so on a shared device please sign in before you create documents. Documents beyond the library limit (500 documents) stay on that device as guest documents. Documents you opened through a shared link do not change owner when you sign in, and you get no more than the permissions the link gives.
Retention and deletion
Owners can move a document to the Trash and restore it within 30 days. Documents made without signing in move to the Trash if nobody opens them for 90 days, and are permanently deleted unless restored on that device within 30 days. Documents in a member library are never removed this way. Permanent deletion cannot be undone, and the files uploaded to that document are deleted with it. Members can delete their account right away under Account in My settings by typing a confirmation phrase. When you delete your account, the documents you own are permanently deleted at once, including ones shared with other people and ones in the Trash, and this cannot be undone; your comments and poll & survey responses in other people’s documents are deleted too. What you wrote and the files you uploaded in other people’s documents stay in those documents, and the author is shown as ‘Deleted user’. You can make requests about your personal information through the Foruki contact form. Team-created documents are an exception. If another active teammate remains when you delete your account, their ownership passes to the team administrator or a successor, and the documents, attachments and team collections stay with the team. The administrator can also reassign team document ownership. Personal documents brought into a team follow their original ownership and deletion rules. If no eligible teammate remains, they are deleted as shown in the account deletion confirmation.
